Nuggets take Game 4 over Timberwolves by score of 115-107, even up series at 2-2
Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-107 on Sunday, May 12, to even their best-of-seven series at 2-2.

Three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets to victory on the road, scoring a team-high 35 points on only one made three-point basket, with 16 of his 35 points coming in the fourth quarter. Jokic also recorded seven rebounds and seven assists, along with capturing three steals and one block, a true MVP performance to even the series at two games apiece. Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon joined Jokic as the only Nuggets to score 25+ points, scoring 27 points on 11-12 shooting from the field after starting the game shooting a perfect 10-10 from the field. Gordon grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists to rally the Nuggets to victory. Denver guard Jamal Murray scored 19 points, grabbed five assists, and handed out eight assists to round out the Nuggets big three. Jokic, Gordon, and Murray combined for 81 of Denver's 115 points.

In the Timberwolves eight-point loss, Minnesota guard Anthony Edwards scored a playoff career-high 44 points and grabbed five rebounds, five assists, and five made baskets from beyond the arc. However, when Edwards scores 40+ points in playoff games, the Timberwolves are 2-2. All five of the Nuggets starting five scored 10+ points, however guard Mike Conley was Minesotas second leading scorer with 15 points. NBA Sixth Man of the Year Naz Reid gave the Timberwolves 11 points off the bench; however, it was not enough to capture a win for Minnesota.

Denver hosts Game 5 on Tuesday, May 14, where the Nuggets look to win their third straight game to take a 3-2 lead in the series, while the Timberwolves look to stop the bleeding and capture a victory on the road.
